Lebanese security responded to the protesters attempt today to storm the Lebanese Central Bank in the capital Beirut and prevent them from completing the storm.
The Lebanese National News Agency reported that the protesters cut the road at the BDL intersection with burning containers and obstacles and threw stones at the security forces located around the bank, while the security forces responded to them by throwing tear gas to remove them from the bank, noting that a number of cases of suffocation due to tear gas were recorded.
On the other hand, other protesters cut off the international road in the areas of Aley and Sofer, as well as at the intersection of the town of Shuit Aley.
Lebanon has been witnessing since October 17 last protests and demonstrations to demand an improvement in the living situation and accountability for the corrupt.
