Energetic sobriety obliges, it is dark, very dark, at the start of this winter evening in Place Saint-Bruno, close to the hypercentre of Grenoble. You can hardly make out the contours of the Wrist strap, a 33-meter-long wooden children's play structure set up in the central square. Its installation in July 2017 was the culmination of one of the "participatory projects" funded by the municipality as part of its "better living together" policy . Éric Piolle, the ecologist who created the surprise in 2014 by becoming the first mayor labeled Europe Écologie Les Verts in a city of more than 100,000 inhabitants, is particularly proud to have thus promoted the "citizens ' initiative" in the districts : from the initial idea to its realization, everything is decided by the residents, in association with the municipal services.
