The IDF Corona Testing Laboratory at Zrifin Base also began examining the corona testing of Palestinians from Gaza and the West Bank. So far, the lab has examined only the IDF soldiers and police, the ISA and the Mossad. Dozens of corona tests were tested once a week in the IDF lab.

The move is intended to help prevent the spread of the Corona virus among the Palestinian population. Major General Aviv Kochavi's Chief of Staff has appointed his deputy, Maj. Gen. Eyal Zamir, to handle the prevention of the Corona outbreak in Gaza and Judea and Samaria.
