Christophe, 30, auctioneer in Brussels, has a very special way of choosing a shirt in his wardrobe: he is not based on the color or the cut, but on the collar.
From the classic French to the more open Italian through the American or English buttoned (with the tab linking the two points), all do not have the same function.
"In my opinion, a French or Italian collar is much more beautiful with a tie and a jacket, while the buttoned one goes better with jeans,"
says the esthete.
The collar would thus be in men, including the younger generation, a determining criterion.
Evidenced by Daniel Lévy, specialist in tailor-made, rue du Cirque, Paris 8th, whose liquettes dress a mainly French clientele ... who willingly do without the tie.
“Our customers prefer collars that are worn open.
You should perhaps see the influence of
Bernard-Henri Lévy
, who has become an icon of the white shirt, ”
he smiles.
