The Traffic Department of the Ministry of the Interior indicated that all roads in the governorates are passable except for some roads in the governorates of Rural Damascus, Hama, Lattakia, Tartous, As-Suwayda and Quneitra, which are impassable or impassable with difficulty due to the accumulation or falling of snow.
The Traffic Department clarified in its noon bulletin, of which SANA received a copy, that all roads in the Damascus countryside governorate are passable except for Khirbet al-Souda, Arneh al-Rima, Baqasim, and Ain al-Shaara, while all of them are passable with difficulty due to snowfall and snow formation.
In Hama governorate, all roads are passable except for the roads in the Al-Ghab region, Shathah Jouba Burghal, Jourin Slunfeh, and Ain Al Krum Al-Qarandah, all of them are impassable due to the accumulation of snow.
In Lattakia governorate, all roads are passable except for the al-Ghab road, Juba, Burghul, Slunfeh, Marka, Bani Hashem, all of which are impassable due to the formation of ice.
In Tartous governorate, all roads are clear, except for Al-Anaza district, the roads of Beit Jash, Masyaf, the farm of Sheikh Ali Al-Majdal and Al-Froukhayeh, Elton Al-Jarda, New Dardara, Khirbat Al-Sindianah, impassable with difficulty due to the formation of ice.
And in the As-Suwayda governorate, the Traffic Department indicated that all roads in the governorate are passable except for the road to Sweida, Dahr al-Jabal, Dam al-Rum, the roads leading to al-Mashnaf district and its villages, all roads leading to the Salkhad area, and the roads to the sub-district of Malah, Namira and Shahba Umm Dhabib Tima are all passable with difficulty due to snow accumulation and ice formation.
In Quneitra governorate, all roads are passable except for Hadar Khan Arnaba road, which is impassable due to the accumulation of snow and the formation of dense fog.
The Traffic Department advised drivers to check the vehicle’s technical condition, including brakes, tires, windshield wipers, lights, reducing speed, increasing the safety distance, using fog lights, as well as using seat belts and not using a mobile phone while driving in all circumstances and conditions to avoid the risks they face on the roads, referring to the allocation of numbers 5422703 and 5411365 for inquiries.
