According to the Russian Novosti Agency, Gebresus wrote today on his Twitter account: “I had a constructive phone conversation with the Russian Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko about the response to Covid-19 as well as about the Russian vaccine (Sputnik V) and its inclusion in the list of drugs approved by the World Health Organization for use in emergency situations.” .
He added, "I appreciate Russia's investment in science, and the World Health Organization highly appreciates Russia's pioneering role and financial support in this field."
