A new club for Wolfratshausen - that is Sepp Schwarzenbach's plan.

The restaurateur is currently converting the discotheque in the tower building.

Operations should start after the corona pandemic.

The name of the restaurant makes some people nostalgic.

Wolfratshausen - There are disco balls on the stairs, a pole dance pole dangles from the ceiling: The only discotheque in Loisachstadt is currently under construction.

Sepp Schwarzenbach, operator of the Zeppelin bar and the Tingel-Tangel cultural stage, is planning his next catering project for night owls in Wolfratshausen.

After the corona pandemic, he wants to open the “Sound” club in the basement of the tower building.

Schwarzenbach's father already ran the “Sound” club

The name has a nostalgic background: Schwarzenbach's father, the former “disco king”, ran a dazzling nightclub of the same name in the same place decades ago.

But the latter is the only thing that Schwarzenbach junior would like to take over.

The entire club is getting a new coat of paint.

“We are completely removing the core from the premises,” he says during a tour of the construction site.

Schwarzenbach has long since stopped counting how many tons of rubble he has already disposed of during the renovation.

The measure is extensive: where night owls recently romped around on the spacious dance floor between three bars and a DJ booth, there are now rubble, plasterboard walls, wood paneling and an empty beer crate.

At most, a few decorative balls that hang from the ceiling are reminiscent of the former club.

But they will also be removed soon.

Schwarzenbach makes "the entire interior design new".

We want to be as flexible as possible - the 'sound' should be able to completely change its appearance within a few days "

It is not yet clear what the “sound” will look like in a few months.

"We want to be as flexible as possible - the 'sound' should be able to completely change its appearance within a few days," explains Schwarzenbach.

The location should retain its character even with spontaneous renovations.

Mobile partition walls and high-quality event technology are necessary for this.

There should be a fixed point: the expansive, central bar next to the dance floor.

"We are planning one large instead of many small contact points," reports the Wolfratshauser.

"It should create a real club feeling here."

Three points of contact in a confined space - it never gets boring on the tower site

Schwarzenbach is convinced that there is a desire for a nightclub in the region.

"By now at the latest in the lockdown, people are starving for social contacts and a nightlife," he says.

"The market is sure to be there." And because the disco can change its appearance quickly and three points of contact for night owls are located in a confined space on the Hans-Urmiller-Ring, "no one gets bored in the long run".

The goal: starting gun after the pandemic

It is not yet certain, but Schwarzenbach hopes to be able to start his new nightspot by the end of the pandemic.

“We might need six months just for the handicrafts,” he estimates.

In addition, there may be a waiting time for various permits, for example in terms of fire protection.

Schwarzenbach's Tingel-Tangel-Bar is still waiting to open

If everything goes well, Schwarzenbach will celebrate a double opening at the end of the lockdown: His Tingel-Tangel-Bar, which is more geared towards the alternative scene, was finished shortly before the first lockdown, and there is a big party in the restaurant that is right next to the future “sound”, but not yet given.

Schwarzenbach grins when he thinks of the upcoming celebration marathon: “It will be big.

I want to create a certain animation in the city. "

When the new club opens, it will be the third point of contact for night owls under Schwarzenbach's leadership on the premises.

He has been running the popular Zeppelin bar above the “Sound” disco and the Tingel-Tangel for three years.
