France will put in place "
compulsory isolation
" for travelers from the United Kingdom where the Indian variant of the coronavirus circulates in particular, government spokesman Gabriel Attal announced on Wednesday.

The date of application of this measure will be "
specified in the coming hours,
" added Gabriel Attal after the Council of Ministers. Until then, 16 countries were subject to mandatory quarantine, including Brazil, India, Argentina and Turkey.
