FIFA once again punished the Mexican Football Federation on Monday with a two-game veto without an audience due to the shout that local fans express in their national team and local league matches, and that FIFA considers homophobic, discriminatory and racist.

In addition to the punishment matches, the highest soccer organization in the world imposed an economic sanction on Mexico.

"The Mexican Football Federation has been notified by FIFA of the sanction imposed as a result of the evaluation carried out by the corresponding authorities on the conduct of its fans during the matches held at the Azteca Stadium against Canada and Honduras last October" the FMF reported in a statement.

"The sanction consists of an economic fine of 100,000 Swiss francs and the holding of the next two home matches of the men's national team behind closed doors," he explained.

In June, FIFA sanctioned the FMF with a two-game ban without an audience and a financial fine of 60,000 Swiss francs due to the controversial shout that was heard during the Concacaf qualifying tournament for the Olympic games.

Subsequently, the veto was reduced to a party that was fulfilled in September.

" when the goalkeepers of the rival teams clear the ball during the games played by the "Tri".

The matches in which Mexico will play at home without an audience will be for the Concacaf tie for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

These matches will be against Costa Rica and Panama in January of next year.

If the screaming continues, the next sanctions that Mexico could receive would be the reduction of points and the suspension in official tournaments.

In the Concacaf octagonal final, Mexico is undefeated in first place with 14 points after four wins and two draws.

On the next double date of the tie, Mexico will visit the United States and Canada on November 12 and 14, respectively.
