In Glasgow, on November 1, 2021, the annual international high mass dedicated to climate change began.
This is COP26, or the 26th conference of the parties.
These parties are the 195 countries, plus the European Union (EU), which have ratified the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.
This framework convention was drawn up at the Earth Summit, which was held in Rio in 1992. For the first time, the nations of the world recognized the existence of climate change and human responsibility in this phenomenon.

The first role of the Glasgow conference will be to paint as comprehensive a picture as possible of the problems of climate change and loss of biodiversity facing the planet.
