After many months of effort, and against the background of the corona crisis, the ceremony in question will be broadcast tonight (02:00 Israel time).
One by one, the 80 participants will come from 80 countries.
The contest officially opened Friday night, so the judges - including Rina Moore, the first and only Israeli Miss Universe, and Adriana Lima, a supermodel - met the contestants, and rated them.
This evening featured evening gowns, the controversial swimwear stage and the national gowns stage, where participants wear a country-inspired dress they represent.
At this point, 5 million viewers watched through social media.
Beauty of competition
In the first stage, a few minutes from the start of the broadcast, the 16 finalists will be announced, of which only one will end the evening with the title of the most beautiful woman in the world.
In recent weeks, the issue of beauty pageants and their legitimacy has come up for discussion again and again.
Among other things, there have been claims about the desire for women, and also about a beauty model that does not match 2021.
It should be noted that this is one of the reasons that led to the competition a little more diverse participants: Miss Bahrain, who at the swimwear stage came up dressed in a dress for reasons of modesty;
Miss Philippines, presented as bisexual;
And Miss Thailand, who introduced a different beauty model and won a lot of attention and sympathy from the audience.

Israel is represented by Noa Kochba, the new beauty queen.
She served in the military as a commander in a medic course and dreams of becoming a pediatrician.
Kochba, 22 years old from Bnei Atarot, receives a lot of sympathy from the audience, which includes her family and friends.
The evening will be opened by Noa Kirl in a very invested and impressive show, directed by Avichai Hacham and arranged by Nitzan Keikov.

Another Israeli factor in the ceremony is fashion designer Aviad Herman, who designed dresses for seven countries, including Miss Morocco and Miss Japan, whose dress was inspired by Neta Barzilai's performance in 2018.
The evening will be moderated by Steve Harvey, the competition's regular host.
He landed in Israel last week, went into solitary confinement at the "Queen of Sheba" hotel where he is staying, and left for the first rehearsal on stage yesterday.
