Deputy Chairman of the Defense Committee of the Russian State Duma Dmitry Sablin described the rioters in Kazakhstan as “terrorists with combat experience,” noting that those who undermine the situation in the cities of this country are not peaceful protesters, but rather armed men who previously joined the ranks of terrorist organizations in Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan.
Sablin indicated in a press statement today that Kazakhstan has recovered armed men from its citizens who had joined the ranks of the terrorist organization ISIS in Syria in large numbers.
Sablin pointed out that Kazakhstan witnessed an influx of terrorists from Afghanistan, noting at the same time that the Americans transferred members of the "ISIS" organization and other terrorist organizations from Syria to it "to use them for their own purposes."
The Russian parliamentarian stressed that the decision to use forces from the Collective Security Treaty Organization to help stabilize the situation in Kazakhstan "demonstrates Russia's readiness to work effectively to ensure its security and interests with its allies."
The President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, confirmed earlier that "extremist terrorist gangs trained abroad" are leading the riots in his country, stressing that the police and army forces will restore security and order.
