The police in Upper Bavaria are busy with an arson attack.

A man ignited a Molotov cocktail in front of the front door of an apartment.

The investigation is ongoing.

Eiselfing - arson attack in the district of Rosenheim.

Because they argued, a 34-year-old apparently lit a Molotov cocktail in front of a woman's apartment.

In front of the woman's entrance area, the suspect let the incendiary device go off on Tuesday evening (February 15), the police in Upper Bavaria South announced on Wednesday.

"It was only through fortunate circumstances that the fire did not get out of control, but only caused minor property damage."

Arson attack in Bavaria: police arrested 34-year-olds that night

The police investigations led to a search of the apartment of a 34-year-old in the Eiselfing community during the night.

Evidence was found that would justify an urgent suspicion.

The police arrested the man.

At the request of the public prosecutor's office, he was brought before the investigating judge to examine the question of detention, who issued an arrest warrant.

"The public prosecutor's office in Traunstein - Rosenheim branch - is now investigating the K1 department of the Rosenheim Kripo because of an attempted homicide and attempted particularly serious arson against the 34-year-old," the statement continues.

According to the police, the motive may have been a dispute with the woman in the afternoon.
