As the healthcare system emerges exhausted from two years of health crisis, Bpifrance is launching “La French Care” to mobilize the healthcare ecosystem and unite its players, both public and private, under the same banner.

The objective is for start-ups and large groups, healthcare organizations and laboratories, research institutes and universities to communicate more, generate synergies, innovate and bring out French champions.

But also that they can pool their resources to better export themselves and promote French excellence abroad.

The stakes are high because the “care” sector weighs 163 billion euros in France in 2019, or 6.7% of GDP.

The sector employs 2.6 million people in full-time equivalent, or 9.7% of jobs in France.

Among the first 20 founding partners are groups as varied as Axa, the Gustave-Roussy institute, the Elsan clinic group, the Cerba and Inovie laboratories, Doctolib, bioMérieux, etc.
