The release committee will discuss the request of the actor who was convicted of sexual harassment and indecent acts • About two weeks ago, another complaint was filed against Ivgi for rape

Tomorrow (Monday) a hearing is expected in the release committee of the courts' management regarding the actor and director Moshe Ivgi's request for early release.

As I recall, Ivgi was convicted of sexual harassment and indecent acts on three women and sentenced to 11 months in prison.

He is lecturing out of them for five months and if his request is accepted he is expected to be released in the coming month.

Will be released earlier than expected?

The prosecution is expected to oppose the request.

Ivgi wants to be released next to a rehabilitation program that will include psychological treatment once a week, volunteering at a nursery once a week and a commitment not to address in the media and networks the offenses he has committed or the complainants against him.

This is subject to night house arrest between ten o'clock at night and six in the morning.

Earlier this week it was reported that a new complaint had been filed against Ivgi, by a 70-year-old woman from the north of the country, alleging that the actor had raped her about 36 years ago at her home.

As you may recall, in April 2018, an indictment was filed against Ivgi for indecent acts and sexual harassment he committed on four women.

Three of them are women he worked with and the fourth met by chance.

On January 9, 2020, he was convicted of committing an indecent act on an actress who worked with him as part of filming and was acquitted on suspicion of two other charges that included indecent acts and sexual harassment.

Initially, he was sentenced to six months of community service, six months of probation and compensation in the amount of NIS 10,000 for the complainant, but the state appealed the acquittal because of the doubt and her appeal was accepted.

At the end of the day Ivy was convicted of five counts of indecent acts and sexual harassment of four women.

Following this, on July 12, 2021, Ivgi was sentenced to 11 months in prison, six months probation and payment of compensation in the amount of NIS 30,000 to the victims.

Ivgi is serving his sentence in Hermon Prison.
