Legislative 2022: for the majority, the puzzle of new allies

Five years after the "Macron wave" in the National Assembly, the supporters of the Head of State have a presentiment of it: they will be dizzy when the negotiations begin.

In the outgoing majority, no less than seven political parties will try to come to an agreement in view of the June legislative elections.

In addition to La République en Marche (LREM) and its historical partner in the Democratic Movement (MoDem), a series of recent rallies want to impose their troops in the battle for nominations.

There is Agir and the “philippists” of Horizons on their right, the social democrats of Territories of progress and In common on their left, without forgetting the centrists of the Radical Party… With fear in the ranks of the 347 deputies outgoing: that the newcomers put them aside.

To reassure the parliamentarians, the leaders of the majority have promised that they will give

during the investitures.

But none will be granted before the second round of the presidential election...
