Two people were injured and material damage occurred inside a gas station south of As-Suwayda city as a result of the fire that broke out in a tanker designated for transporting and distributing diesel this evening.
A source in the governorate police stated that a fire broke out in a tank dedicated to transporting and distributing diesel while he was inside a gas station on Al-Koum Road, south of As-Suwayda city, causing it to explode, injuring two people and causing material damage to the place.
The source indicated that the two injured, one of them seriously, and the other lightly, were taken to the National Hospital of the Martyr Zaid Al-Sharari to receive the necessary treatment.
For his part, the commander of the Suwayda Regiment, Fadi Al-Daoud, indicated that two firefighting vehicles with their crews headed to the place immediately after receiving the call, where the fire was controlled and extinguished by appropriate means and the necessary cooling operations were carried out.
