Thrilling car accident in Chai Wan.
At about 3 am today (13th), when a taxi was queuing for gas at a gas station at the junction of On Yip Street and Fung Yip Street, it lost control and slammed a wall inside the station. A large amount of chemical powder is sprayed out.
After the accident, the male driver, who was about 70 years old, was injured in the mouth.
On-the-spot sources said that it was not ruled out that the driver accidentally stepped on the accelerator and acted as the brake to cause the accident.
Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
Mr. Ho, a staff member of the gas station, pointed out that the driver involved was a regular customer and suspected that he had poor hearing. At the time of the incident, many taxis were queuing for gas at the entrance of On Yip Street. When he was refilling gas, he got on the car with half of his foot, and the taxi suddenly rushed forward, then turned left and hit the fence. One of the fire extinguishers was knocked out.
It was seen at the scene that the taxis were about 50 meters away from the queue position to the position where they hit the wall. Afterwards, the taxi body was covered with chemical powder, and a lot of blood was left on the carriage and the ground.
