Hottest day of the year so far in RLP and Saarland

According to preliminary data from the German Weather Service (DWD), Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland have experienced the hottest day of the year so far.
At many measuring stations in Rhineland-Palatinate, the value of 38 degrees Celsius was exceeded on Tuesday, said a meteorologist from the DWD in the evening.
The temperature record for the state of 40.6 degrees, measured on 25.
Offenbach - July 2019 in Trier but was never reached.
No new peak value was measured in Saarland either.
The 40.2 degrees measured on July 25, 2019 in Neunkirchen-Wellesweiler remain a record.
