Meteorologically, the sunny season is over anyway.
September 1 was the deadline.
But according to the calendar, summer would last until September 21st.
However, if you look at the forecast for this week, autumn is already arriving in Bavaria.
Weather change in Bavaria: Hurricane Danielle causes rain
The good news first – today, Tuesday, September 6th, will be the loveliest day of the week.
Unfortunately, that's the bad news right away, because as the week progressed, the temperatures continued to drop and thick rain clouds pushed their way across the white-blue sky.
The reason for the change in weather is a real hurricane.
The name of the storm is Danielle and it's making itself comfortable on the North Atlantic, meteorologist Dominik Jung knows.
Once there on the Atlantic, the hurricane becomes an "extratropical depression".
This low "mixes up the weather in Europe quite a bit and puts an end to the new warmth or heat and the great drought, there will be more rain at least temporarily," writes the weather expert in his forecast.

A mix of sun and clouds will determine the weather in Bavaria today.
Smaller thunderstorms can occur locally.
It gets really hot again.
In the north, in Würzburg, the thermometer climbs to 29 degrees.
In the mixed south there are still 24 (Berchtesgaden) to 25 (Munich, Augsburg) degrees.
Wednesday a similar picture.
But the low is already stretching out its first fingers towards Bavaria.
It's getting two to three degrees cooler everywhere.
Thursday will be really wet.
It rains heavily all day from Hof to the Zugspitze.
Temperatures drop sharply.
18 degrees (Hof) in the north and 19 degrees (Berchtesgaden, Kempten) in the south.
On Friday the sea of clouds will open up almost everywhere.
But it hardly gets warm in summer.
The maximum temperatures are 23 degrees in Regensburg and Ingolstadt.
The weekend will be rainy again in many places.
The temperatures continue to drop again.
In Munich it goes down to 18 degrees.
In Nuremberg even to 17 degrees.
Within a few days, the temperature dropped by more than ten degrees.
It's only going to pick up a little again next week.
The ex-hurricane ensures a new high.
"This could be Indian summer!
It wouldn't be the first time that a former hurricane would give us a longer phase of fine weather in the form of a high in September.” But it won't be as hot as in summer.
