Israeli officials said today (Saturday) that progress has been made in talks with Lebanon on the maritime border.
However, they emphasized that gaps still remain and more time is needed to close them.
Yesterday, the American mediator in the talks between Israel and Lebanon on the maritime border, Amos Hochstein, met in Beirut with the President of Lebanon, Michel Evan, and discussed with him the negotiations with Israel on the maritime border.
Yesterday Hochstein met in Tel Aviv with National Security Adviser Eyal Hulta and Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Alon Oshfiz.
