Homs-Sana
In order to facilitate citizens’ judicial and legal transactions, and in implementation of the plan of the Ministry of Justice and the Supreme Judicial Council to increase the number of magistrates courts in Syria, Homs Governorate, in cooperation with local actors, opened the Magistrate’s Court in the town of Ain al-Nisr, east of the city of Homs.
The Public Prosecutor, Judge Ali Al-Daoud, explained in a statement to SANA reporter that the Magistrate’s Court in Ain Al-Nasr will serve more than ninety thousand people in twenty-two villages and five municipalities, which will save the citizens the trouble of effort and time and consider their lawsuits in court without going to the Judicial Palace in the city.
Al-Daoud added that the Magistrate's Court will conduct many types of conciliation, civil and penal conciliation lawsuits, in addition to those related to legal issues and the subsequent administrative transactions related to marriage and others.
For his part, the President of the Court, Judge Yarub Al-Hassan, stated that the court includes a number of departments, including a conciliation and civil conciliation department, a notary public department, a Sharia department, and a summary and conduct of the assets.
Ghiath Naji, mayor of Ain Al-Nisr, considered that the opening of the court is a great positive step for the town and its affiliated villages, because it will make it easier for citizens to complete their transactions in an easier and faster way, and in return it will ease the pressure on the city's judicial palace.
The mayor of the town, Ayman Effendi, noted the opening of the court, which will save the people of Ain al-Nisr the costs of going to the city center to follow up on their cases, especially since their town is far from it.
The opening was attended by the Governor of Homs, Engineer Namir Makhlouf, the police chief, a number of judges, and official and popular events in the region.
