Fire in subway station: rail traffic and roads closed

A fire broke out in the subway station at Ebertplatz in downtown Cologne on Saturday afternoon.
At the request of the German Press Agency, the police initially reported six injuries.
The fire was reported at 2:20 p.m., the cause of the fire is still unclear.
Cologne – The fire brigade was still in action in the late afternoon in the usually very busy subway station, as the firefighters announced on Twitter.
Both the rail traffic and the surrounding streets had to be closed.
Citizens have been asked to avoid the affected areas.
First "Express" and "Kölner Stadtanzeiger" had reported.
