Earlier today, an 80-year-old woman was found dead after a fire broke out in her apartment in Ashkelon.
MDA medics and paramedics who arrived at the scene pronounced her dead. Emergency medicine medic Alexander Tablin said: "When we arrived at the scene, we saw thick smoke coming out of the apartment.
We joined the fire brigade that operated on the scene and rescued an 80-year-old woman, when she was unconscious and suffering from severe burns on her body.
We performed medical tests, she was without signs of life and we had to pronounce her dead."
