Less than a day after the Democrats managed to beat the predictions and prevent a Republican wave and possibly even retain control of both houses of Congress, President Biden held an unusual press conference to leverage the achievement - which may be the first time since 2002 that an incumbent president does not lose control of the House of Representatives in his first term. 

In a press conference held by the 46th president, he emphasized that "the American people have spoken" and that this is proof of America's strength.

"The red wave didn't happen", Biden said that "we lost fewer seats than any president in his first term in 40 years" he admitted that "we heard what the voters said about inflation, about the right to make a choice when it comes to pregnancy" and I heard that the young people voted at "historic rates ".

He concluded by saying: "It was a good day for America and democracy."

He admitted that he "understands their plight" when it comes to inflation and the rising cost of living. 

Biden, who during the campaign almost did not appear with candidates in the elections due to the fear that it would harm their chances in light of negative peaks in his popularity, sees the achievements of the Democrats as a victory in the referendum on the democratic agenda that he led in the social field (for example in the field of abortion and health insurance), and in the defense of democracy from the danger that, in his opinion, represents , election deniers and former President Donald Trump.
