The Dorfen carnival society chooses Susanne I. with the right shoe as the carnival princess.

Her husband is at her side as Matthias I.

Dorfen

– After two years of parental leave, humor and fun will finally shine again in the city of Hemadlenzn.

The carnival society presented their new royal couple at the Martini market on Sunday: Susanne and Matthias Neumayer took over the regency in Dorfen during the carnival season.

They are supported by the hereditary prince couple Enzo Damerau and Tamara Stehr.

2 p.m., 11 minutes – state of emergency yesterday at the Unteren Markt.

The Dorfen carnivalists cheered when President Martin Pommer and his deputy Mathias Pichlmeier started the show.

"A shoe was sent to me," Pommer claimed.

Whoever these pumps belong to should please come onto the stage.

Several women came forward.

Pommer immediately began trying them on, just like the king's son did in the Cinderella fairy tale: one shoe was too small, the other too big.

Only with Susanne I., glittering regent over youth and singing, there was the perfect match.

Her partner quickly turned up: Prince Matthias I, from the Hofkirchen Hofburg.

"Now a childhood dream of mine is coming true," said the 31-year-old princess.

Her husband – the two are also a couple in real life – still had to be persuaded: "I'm going along for the love of my wife," he admitted.

The princely couple are facing stressful days up to Ash Wednesday, dance rehearsals are coming up and there are a lot of performances.

Susanne and Matthias will be officially enthroned at the Maschkera on January 13th in the Tonwerk.

Mayor Heinz Grundner also symbolically presented the royal couple with the key to the town hall.

The gathering is also the first official appearance for the prince and princess after the proclamation.

For the first time there will be a shuttle bus from Marienplatz to the former Meindl site.

Those who will not perform at carnival, however, are the Jumping Jacks.

"There is currently no dance group from the age of 16 upwards, so we have been thinner since the two-year Corona break," explains KG spokesman Daniel Steinweber when asked.

Many of the former dancers have started training, for example they have to work shifts in the hospital at weekends.

"There are still shows," he promises.

The secret of the hereditary prince was also revealed on Sunday.

Hereditary Princess Tamara Stehr (11) is not only called the "prancing pearl", she has also been dancing enthusiastically at the carnival society for four years now.

The partner at her side at the performances will be Hereditary Prince Enzo Damerau, the keeper of the handicap, because the boy is a passionate golfer, although he is only eight years old.

The fools had to pause at carnival for two years, now they are back: "It is an indescribable moment to be on stage here and to proclaim the prince couple," said President Pommer, who officially canceled the fifth season last year had to.

That's why the Dorfen fool's hymn was sung all the louder this year: "O you heaven on earth, loving carnival, sing happy songs through the Isental in rejoicing".

After all, humor and fun should finally shine again in the city of Hemadlenzn.
