he co-chaired the Arab-Chinese summit, to which the other members of the Arab League had been invited.
In this coveted Middle East, where economic interests and international power relations matter more than human rights, the Khashoggi affair seems well and truly forgotten.

, was assassinated on October 2, 2018, inside the Saudi Arabian consulate in Istanbul, by killers from Riyadh.
