The Easter nest was packed for TV fans on Sunday (April 9): The crime scene, the ZDF dream ship and a "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?" special competed against each other.

Now the clear winner is certain.

Update from April 10, 11:00 a.m.:

The quota duel in prime time on Easter Sunday was hard fought.

But now the clear winner is certain.

As reported by dwdl.de, most viewers opted for the new "crime scene" with Corinna Harfouch in the first.

The episode "Nothing but the Truth" not only scored well with the overall audience, the crime thriller also took first place in the relevant target group of 14 to 49 year olds. A total of 6.22 million TV viewers tuned in, which corresponds to a market share of 23.3 percent.

The ZDF dream ship took third place in both rankings, 5.20 million people chose Florian Silbereisen's first kiss as Captain Max Parger.

With 3.03 million viewers, the WWM Easter special came in third place in a direct comparison.

And that despite the biggest glitch in the history of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?

First report from April 9th:

While most people can shift down a gear at Easter thanks to the long weekend, there is a hot fight for the ratings in the television world on Easter Sunday – also because the public broadcaster is sending two crackers into the race this time.

But the "Tatort" (Das Erste) and "Das Traumschiff" (ZDF) are getting well-known private broadcasters with "Who wants to be a millionaire?" (RTL).

"Tatort" debut runs parallel to "Traumschiff" with Silbereisen and "Who wants to be a millionaire?" Special

On evenings when a new "Traumschiff" episode was running on ZDF, ARD has so far mostly given way to the sister station: instead of showing a new "Tatort" edition as usual on Sunday evening, they usually rely on a repeat.

This time, however, it's different: the first not only broadcasts part one of the brand new "Tatort" double episode "Nothing but the truth", but also presents a new commissioner with Corinna Harfouch (68), who works alongside Mark Waschke (51) forms an investigator duo.

In her debut of the cult crime series, the 68-year-old deals directly with an anti-democratic network.

Things are more tranquil with “Das Traumschiff” with hit star Florian Silbereisen (41): Captain Max Parger and his crew embark on the crossing to Vancouver, Canada.

In addition to heartbreak and humor, there is also a possible farewell, because staff captain Martin Grimm (Daniel Morgenroth, 59) could leave the MS Amadea.

On RTL, at 8:15 p.m., there is an Easter special from “Who wants to be a millionaire?”.

Which ratings set the record in Germany?

On July 13, 2014, ARD made television history: According to estimates, a whopping 34.65 million people

watched the World Cup final, Germany versus Argentina (1-0 aet), on their own television sets

.

Crazy: People who watched the game at public viewings or in bars were not included in this count.

The actual number is likely to be significantly higher.

Quota duel on Easter Sunday: Does "Tatort" beat a new "Traumschiff" episode and Jauch as a joker?

As in previous years, there is a bitter duel for the viewers’ favor on Easter Sunday: With five to six million viewers, “Tatort” and “Das Traumschiff” are absolute ratings hits that shouldn’t exactly make it easy for each other.

But RTL could also have a say with its “Who wants to be a millionaire?” special show:

This time candidates can consult Günther Jauch (66) as a joker.

One of the three programs will probably win the primetime victory - despite the large selection of programs, such as Sat.1 (shows the feature film "Fantastic Animal Beings 2: Grindelwald's Crimes"), Vox (relies on "Kitchen Impossible" with Tim Mälzer, 52 ) or ProSieben (TV premiere of “The Gentlemen”).

In any case, it will not be quiet in the television world despite the Easter weekend.

Most recently, some "Always Sundays" viewers criticized ARD and SWR, who are sticking with Stefan Mross (47) despite his criminal record.
