They worked in the 13 blocks closest to the border with Morón, and now they will advance towards Caseros. In addition to resurfacing, they put a central separator with lights.

Marcelo Torcuato de Alvear avenue

,

popularly known as

Alvear avenue

(or route 201), one of the main roads of the Tres de Febrero party, in the western area of Greater Buenos Aires, continues with its

comprehensive renovation

 to order

the circulation of cars and pedestrians

, and improve security and

promote commercial development

in the area.

The important work that is carried out in several stages,

has already inaugurated its first renovated section,

located between Cavassa street

and República avenue,

which separates the Tres de Febrero district from Morón.

The

renovations include

the repaving of the road, new sidewalks, ramps, demarcation of cordons, pedestrian paths, street furniture and brand new signage were placed.

A new lighting system with LED technology was also implemented, together with the installation of surveillance domes to

detect traffic violations and promote safety in the area.

The important work aims to expedite vehicular and pedestrian traffic and also impact commercial development.

In addition to the expansion of the crossings, the aim is to strengthen the area

with the creation of a central divider to facilitate circulation, which will extend from

República

avenue to

Rotarismo Argentino

street

, a few meters from the Tres de Febrero Stadium belonging to the

Almagro club.

At the same time, the improvement of existing traffic lights and afforestation with tree species is planned

to alleviate noise and environmental pollution.

It is

estimated that

more than 20,000 residents will benefit

when the total project of the avenue that connects the town of

Caseros with Ciudadela

(and vice versa) is finished, and that also directly connects the district with the neighboring party of Morón and with the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires.

A boost to trade

Along this very busy section of Route 201

there are different businesses of various items

and also

establishments as popular as they are historical

.

Some of them are the

Mercado de Tres de Febrero

, the

Ciudadela Community Cemetery

and the facilities of the Almagro club (including the

Tres de Febrero stadium

), in Villa Raffo, a town in

José Ingenieros.

"We want the entire avenue to be

more comfortable for those who use it every day, but also for the merchants and residents of the area

," explained Mayor Diego Valenzuela.

And he added: "One of the axes of our management is and will always be the constant renewal and improvement of neighborhoods and that we are all proud."

Rivadavia avenue at the height of Ciudadela, another key road where an improvement plan begins.

With the collaboration of the FIM (Municipal Infrastructure Fund), they affirm from the municipality that other spaces were also renovated such as Almirante Brown street and the intersections between Alvear and Falucho avenues, and Ramón Falcón and D`onofrio, in Ciudadela, in addition to the works in Lisandro de la Torre, Olavarría and Rosas streets in Caseros.

In this month of April, also on Tres de Febrero, work began on the 16 blocks of Rivadavia Avenue that crosses Ciudadela, the second most populated town in the district.

The tasks will advance from General Paz avenue, on the border with Liniers, in the City of Buenos Aires, and the bridge on Díaz Vélez avenue, on the border with Ramos Mejía, in La Matanza.

Along this route, in addition to repaving, a central boulevard will also be made.
