The animals want nothing more than a new home.

Gisbert (male) and Tweety (female) are "urgently looking for a home."

Gisbert is five years old, Tweety is only two.
Both were given away because their owner fell ill.
"I, Gisbert, have testicular cancer and a hernia in the abdomen.
I have to check my weight regularly.
We have also been to a veterinarian who specializes in birds, but he says that therapy is unfortunately not really possible," the older animal continues.
Hormone therapy doesn't make sense either.
Although it is difficult to say, according to the vet, the budgerigar only has six to nine months left.
"Me, Tweety had an increase in volume on the abdomen and upper chest, which turned out to be a lipoma.
You have to watch my weight too and make sure I don't gain too much weight.
I also get something for liver protection,” the two-year-old budgerigar continues.

Sick budgies want “nothing more than a home”
“We two definitely want to stay together and not be torn apart.
We don't want to spend our twilight years in an animal shelter and want nothing more than a home," the Facebook post continues.
The post has been shared nearly 300 times in hopes of granting the two animals' wish.
