This year's rabbit school in Ottenhofen brought in 1550 euros - a record sum.
The Munich outpatient children's hospice foundation is now benefiting from this.

- 30 rabbits made of wire and straw populated the Ottenhofen village square, and the fox in the outhouse couldn't be missing either: This year's motto of the rabbit school in Ottenhofen was all about the times: "We're putting up a maypole!"
Despite the bad weather, this motto and the lovingly restored rabbit school and maypole attracted more people than ever before this year.
No wonder, since the Easter spectacle is no longer an insider tip and has been attracting many visitors from near and far for years.
In some cases, there were even short traffic jams, as stated in a press release.
What discouraged drivers made the initiator of the Ottenhofen rabbit school, Josef Greckl, happy.
"It's always been a lot of work, and it's nice when so many people come to see our rabbit school," Greckl sums up.
This year he was again able to rely on his loyal helpers Mascha Voidel, Alfred Greckl and Thomas Schatz.
Even before the hard-working helpers had helped him carry away and stow away the rabbits, Greckl was able to hand over this year's record donation of 1,550 euros to the Munich Ambulatory Children's Hospice Foundation, which operates throughout Bavaria.
Jana Rigauer, who came on behalf of the hospice to accept the donation, was very happy and thanked her heartily.
The rabbits can now go back to the attic and the many fans of the dolls can look forward to next year's motto.
