Is this the end of the tumble?
Emmanuel Macron sees his confidence rating go up by a very small point.
It's not a comeback, but it's a respite from this difficult first year of the second term.
The last three months have been dominated by the anti-Macronism of comments on the pension reform wanted and held by the Head of State.
This still fragile confidence rating ultimately did not drop as low as in other moments of crisis.
Thus, in November 2018, at the start of the "yellow vests" movement, it had fallen to 21%.
Emmanuel Macron therefore settles in an area of still sustainable unpopularity.
Its average low water level remains much better than that of François Hollande, which fluctuated between 12 and 20%, and quite close to that of Nicolas Sarkozy.
On the other hand, his two predecessors had a clear majority in the National Assembly.
Note the improvement in the rating of Elisabeth Borne, who regained 2 points, to 23%.
