Will this money be enough to stem the crisis of vocations affecting teaching and to reduce the non-replacement of absent teachers, particularly problematic in Seine-Saint-Denis? This Wednesday morning, the rector of the academy of Créteil Daniel Auverlot detailed the means allocated to the constituency – which also includes Val-de-Marne and Seine-et-Marne – to increase the remuneration of teachers, as the head of state has promised. Three hundred million euros will be granted to the rectorate in 2024 to review upwards the emoluments received by its 66,000 staff (teachers, CPE and psychologists).
