Italy, Germany, France, United Kingdom. From 13 to 15 May 2023, Volodymyr Zelensky made a major European diplomatic tour. The four largest economic powers of Old Europe - each with a substantial arms industry - received, with all honours, the Ukrainian President, who has not left his military uniform since his country was, fifteen months ago, attacked by its Russian neighbour.
The four powers are members of the G7, which will meet in Japan, in Hiroshima, from 19 to 21 May 2023. To this summit of the major Western economic powers (the number 7 is obtained by adding the United States and Canada), the President of the European Council and the President of the European Commission were invited.
