Around 250 interested parties take a close look at Neufahrn's major construction site "Pflüglerhof"

Highlights: The Pflüglerhof is on everyone's lips - also because the BR reports on it in a TV series. Interested parties now took a look behind the scenes of the major construction site. In total, the area covers two hectares, as the client revealed. The buildings are designed in such a way that they are for several generations, but for one generation at a time. The public was invited to get an impression of the ambitious project as early as October 2022, but it is not yet possible to say anything exactly when everything goes into operation.

The Pflüglerhof is on everyone's lips - also because the BR reports on it in a TV series. Interested parties now took a look behind the scenes of the major construction site.

Neufahrn - The curiosity was great, not to say huge. A good 250 people recently came to visit the construction site on the Pflügler site between Neufahrn and Mintraching – including Mayor Franz Heilmeier and a whole series of local councillors. The declared aim of the Pflüglers was to give visitors an insight into the construction progress of the ten-million-euro project and to explain exactly what is planned where. Carolin and Andreas Pflügler led together through the spacious courtyard and the various buildings. In total, the area covers two hectares. Including compensation areas, as the client revealed.

In order to be seen and perceived better, the couple stood on a pallet of stones in the middle of the courtyard. And off we went! "The first thing we do is start with our machine hall," explained Carolin Pflügler. She turned around and said, "There's our house back there, where the roof is coming on right now. Behind it is the chicken coop, which of course we also look at. The real heart is our multifunctional building. There is everything in it that has not found a place in the other buildings: our farm shop, the brewery and a small seminar room. In the rear area there is also a slaughter and cutting room, and then there are a few apartments for the employees."

Now the couple made their way to the said machine hall. With the whole mass of people in tow. Once there, Andreas Pflügler explained to the visitors how the onion and potato processing plant works. Accordingly, large quantities of both crops can be accepted and sorted by machine by size.

(By the way: Everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

It was already the second "Open Construction Site Day" at the new location. As early as October 2022, the public was invited to get an impression of the ambitious project.

The Pflüglers were confronted with a whole series of questions

This time, too, the interest was enormous. The Pflüglers were confronted with a whole series of questions. Among other things, because rumors had made the rounds that the couple was running out of money to build the chicken coop. The Pflüglers denied this. Rather, it is true that the chicken coop cannot yet go into operation because there is no electricity connection yet, Carolin Pflügler clarified. It had also been discussed on television that there was no funding for the chicken coop. This is true, but does not change the fact that the bill works out as a whole, according to the client.

Another citizen wanted to know whether the Pflüglers would slaughter themselves and how many personnel would be needed in the future. The couple answered the former in the affirmative. According to Carolin Pflügler, however, it is not yet possible to say anything exactly about the need for employees. This only becomes apparent when everything goes into operation.

There is not too much to see of the new brewery yet

In terms of the brewery, there was not much to see yet. There are only a few walls standing. But both Carolin and Andreas Pflügler, who were accompanied on the tour by their children Magdalena and Simon, were confident that everything would be ready by mid-2024. It is important to the spouses that they build not just for one, but for several generations. The buildings are designed in such a way that a wide variety of uses are conceivable. As an example, Carolin Pflügler cited a courtyard café. After all, daughter Magdalena is already a gifted cake baker.
