Föching – The Bosch campus in the Holzkirchen Nord industrial park near Föching focuses on exchange and encounters – quite uncharted territory for the technology giant, which has so far been known at its locations for isolating itself and not letting anyone look at its cards. In Föching, the opposite is true. Under the umbrella of the development center, which opened in 2022, the company's subsidiaries Bosch Engineering and ITK Engineering are working together on innovative solutions for automotive and medical technology – and are now even looking for "roommates": Bosch is offering parts of its brand-new offices and laboratories for rent.

The technology campus near Föching, which supplemented an "old building" from 2017 and in which Bosch invested around 100 million euros, is designed for around 1000,2022 jobs. "At the moment, the site is operating at half capacity," says Kreutzer. This does not mean that the two Bosch subsidiaries are stagnating in growth. "Since the beginning of <>, both companies have hired new employees in higher double-digit numbers," explains Kreutzer. Although many employees use flexible working time models with home offices, the utilization of the offices has hardly decreased. "Most colleagues are in the office very regularly because personal exchange is important to them," Kreutzer notes.

Bosch keeps premises in reserve for its own growth, but now also wants to open up to external companies. "That's how it was always planned," says Kreuzer. Networking is part of the campus concept, site manager Jens Hofmann had already emphasized at the opening: "We want to create a place of encounter." Experts from the Bosch cosmos will work side by side with external partners from business and science.

We welcome companies of all sizes that are starting out as a start-up or are flirting with an additional location for development. Initial talks with interested parties from the district and the Munich area have already taken place, Kreuzer said. Mainly office space is available, and electronics laboratories would also be free. The campus also offers a company restaurant and cafeteria.
