Tuesday afternoon, a fire broke out on the 7th floor of a building, rue Paul-Bounin, in Nice. For several hours, a thick plume of gray smoke could be observed hundreds of meters around. Firefighters were called shortly after 15:15 p.m.

When they arrived on site, the fire had spread on the roof, over an area of about 100 square meters. The presence of 40 firefighters, 15 machines and four water hoses was necessary to overcome the blaze, which was brought under control shortly before 18 p.m. In the intervention, a fire soldier was slightly injured as a result of "a fall of material", says the Sdis of the Alpes-Maritimes. The latter was hospitalized in the aftermath.

In the building, the damage is significant. In addition to the attic that was ravaged by the flames, two apartments are completely destroyed.
