Eran Zahavi, one of the greatest Israeli soccer stars of all time, turns 36 today. We asked Forefront to remind us of the biggest moments of his career (so far).

In 2014, as part of the Israeli national team's trip to the Americas, Zahavi scored the first of four goals that led us to victory against Honduras in a friendly match. He finished the 2015-2016 season with Maccabi Tel Aviv with a record of 35 goals, the record for most goals scored in a single season in the Premier League, which still holds today.

In 2016-17 and 2018-19, Zahavi had outstanding seasons with Guangzhou in the Chinese Premier League, finishing as the league's top scorer with 27 goals in the 16-17 season and 29 in the 18-19 season. He finished his career in China as his team's all-time top scorer (103).

In 2017, in a memorable match against Chinese powerhouse Guangzhou Evergrande, Zahavi scored three of his team's five goals, leading them to a stunning 5-4 victory.

In 2019, Zahavi scored a goal for Israel in a Euro 2020 qualifying match against Austria, helping the team to a 4:2 victory.

In 2020, he was transferred to Dutch Premier League club PSV Eindhoven, arriving for the first time in his career at a reputable European club, where he demonstrated his talent in a prestigious league, after playing for Palermo, the second most important league in Italy, in 2011-2013.

In his first season at PSV Eindhoven, he scored a number of crucial goals for the team in the UEFA Europa League, helped his team progress in the tournament and demonstrated his ability to compete at a high level.
In 2021, he scored his 33rd goal for the Israeli national team in a Moldova match during the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, becoming the national team's top scorer.
