Highlights: The state right will not forgive the two for not immediately disavowing the prayer explosion in Dizengoff Square. Netanyahu will try to benefit from the doubt and attract these mandates to him. Sa'ar, who marks the end of the joint path with Gantz, is also ready for battle. The past week has revived the struggle for the heart of the state right. If you'll find a mistake, we'll fix it. We'll find you a fix, and we'll find it.

The disturbance of worshippers in the streets of the first Hebrew city during Yom Kippur prayers, the assault of worshippers with insults and curses (of course backed by Israeli flags), the violent arrest of worshippers from leaving a synagogue, and the attempt to turn prayers into a violent brawl with the participation of one side – succeeded.

Forever in the history of 75-year-old Jewish and democratic Israel, the events of Yom Kippur <> will be remembered as the day when a violent fringe (wide, unfortunately) decided to expand legitimate protest against the government's moves to include attacks against Judaism, Jews wearing a kippah and women in dresses and head coverings, as we were in the previous century, in exile.

The sacred cow was slaughtered

The protest, which was born in the radical wing of the left (the Black Flag People, the Balfour Protest and the Meretz people), succeeded in creating an agenda in the State of Israel, sweeping tens of thousands week after week, and even blocking the moves of a broad and stable coalition in practice. However, in recent weeks, there has been a reversal of the trend, which culminated in the Yom Kippur events, and the protest is losing its grip on the central part of the public that followed it.

This could be seen in the distancing of opposition leader Lapid and state camp chairman Gantz this week after the polls, which punished them for their unequivocal lack of condemnation.

But it began even earlier with the first sacred cow to rise on the altar of protest - the interruption of state Memorial Day ceremonies. Then came the unconditional support for the refusal that harmed the IDF internally in the face of future threats, to the instructive interview of senior protest officials on behalf of Brothers in Arms on the American program "60 Minutes," in which Keble announced with a committee that Israel was attacking buildings in Gaza on their children. Within an hour, it became clear that the "Brothers in Arms" people in the interview were actually the stepbrothers of Breaking the Silence, and the consensus around them was further fractured.

And now the opposition that has been trailing after Bressler has been in place for months has woken up. Gantz, who tried to salvage some of his mandates, appeared this week for a videotaped interview after many months to try to remind him that he is still Mr. State, despite the hesitant response to the Yom Kippur events.

The one who realized the mistake even before him was Lapid, who taunted the worshippers on Yom Kippur and evoked vivid memories of the Shinui party, but a day later, apparently with the arrival of the new polls, he made it clear that he was both against the organizing organization and against the attackers because of the sacred symmetry. Both have been suffering from two very difficult weeks.

Opportunity for a coalition

And here on the other side there was actually a recovery. Despite the daily suffering reported by members of the coalition, especially in the Likud, from working alongside Ben-Gvir, Netanyahu has taken a short break from his coalition mess.

Wake up late and pay the price. Gantz,

The events in the distant United States, which were like water to a desert walker, and the return to the political element somewhat rehabilitated his battered image. The pause, of course, is short-lived, and those around Netanyahu report real anxiety about the upcoming winter conference, with all its problems, from the draft law to the renewed pressure to discuss reform matters.

The turning point in Gantz's rise in the polls this week may be an opportunity for a coalition, but Netanyahu has little expectation. His partners are not willing to vacate their political agenda in favor of the one he would like to lead.

And in between, the lost mandates of the soft right are looking for a home. Gideon Sa'ar and Gantz are already marking the end of their joint path, which will further damage the state camp's seats. Yoaz Hendel has also rejoined the editorial board, whose former partners report attempts to establish a party these days, even though there are no elections on the horizon. The past week has revived the struggle for the heart of the state right.
