President Biden is expected to land in Israel this morning (Wednesday) at around 10:00 a.m. The visit is supposed to be the peak of American support, after the president's extraordinary speech and the military aid he provided.

White House national security spokesman John Kirby said at a press briefing aboard Air Force that President Biden "will ask tough questions related to Israel's continued fighting in Gaza." The president is expected to participate in a discussion to be held at the War Cabinet in Tel Aviv.

Kirby also noted that 31 American citizens were murdered in the Hamas terrorist attack.

The president is expected to stay in Israel for a few hours, and it is not yet clear whether the cancellation of the summit in Jordan will affect the duration of the visit to Israel, since the neighboring country was the US president's next destination.

The American president has already spoken by phone with Prime Minister Netanyahu five times since the Hamas attack and promised his support for Israel, but alongside the war aid and the sending of two aircraft carriers to our region, cabinet ministers claim that the US is pressuring humanitarian measures for the benefit of the people of Gaza during the war.

A senior cabinet minister told Israel Hayom yesterday that "it was clear that American support would also come at a price." Indeed, in recent days the United States has demanded that Israel's war measures in Gaza be separated from the civilian population and that humanitarian relief be granted, from the passage of fuel and water to the entry of goods through the Rafah crossing.

The Prime Minister's Office denied such measures several times, and cabinet ministers spoke out against such humanitarian measures throughout the day, but did not deny American pressure.
