The morning after the direct hit on a building in the Kfar Shalem neighborhood, in which four people were injured, two of them moderately, it can be noticed that the discipline of the residents who quickly got out of the apartments, right after hearing the siren, saved their lives, with all the injured injured outside the building.

The eastern wing of the building was declared dangerous and fragments of walls and concrete were visible in the adjacent courtyard. The electricity and gas were cut off and the residents were forbidden to return to the apartments, most of which sustained heavy damage. This afternoon, senior officials from the fire brigade came to tour the building, and they also emphasize that there was a miracle here.

"The injured were hit outside the building. The occupants who were in the apartments rushed downstairs to the ground floor or to the shelter, and none of them were hurt. This apparently averted a disaster," noted Dan District Deputy Commander of the Fire and Rescue Services, Boaz Rakia. "It was a combination of miracle and discipline on the part of the residents, who quickly disembarked when the alarm sounded."

Rakia explained that the direct hit was on the roof of the building and that the missile penetrated the roof and floor on the top floor, as well as the floor on the third floor. Three-story apartments were destroyed. "A fire broke out and rescue fire forces, in coordination with MDA, the Home Front Command and the police, worked simultaneously to take control of the source of the fire and the fire, cut off energy sources and break in with special equipment through the doors into the apartments, for fear of being trapped. We acted shoulder to shoulder and with great professionalism," Rakia said, adding that hundreds of curious people gathered in front of the building caused a delay in the use of forces: "It is important to stay in homes after an incident and not go out into the street," he stressed, "and of course it is also very important to implement the guidelines at every alarm and when there is no safe room in the apartment, go down to the ground floor in the stairwell and to the shelter."

The Tel Aviv municipality set up a guard and teams on its behalf worked to find solutions for the residents whose apartments were damaged. Restoration work will begin after obtaining the necessary permits from the property tax.
