First publication: The State Prosecutor's Office filed an indictment in the Rishon LeZion District Court for the murder of Israel Haqaq, the driver who fatally hit motorcyclist Eyal Yehuda in his car three weeks ago at the Udim junction.
According to the indictment, Haqaq, 34, from Netanya, ran over Yehuda, a 46-year-old father of five from Herzliya, to death because of an argument on the road between them.

In a video filmed before the ramming, Haqaq is seen preventing Yehuda from overtaking him while driving recklessly with the vehicle. After Yehuda overtook him, Haqaq decided to hit him and near the Udim junction, diverted his car and ran over Yehuda.
As a result, Maor Moshe Ben David, 35, from Netanya, who was near the pedestrian bridge there, was also killed. Haqaq fled the scene after stealing a truck belonging to a driver who had stopped to help the victims.
Haqaq is charged with serious offenses of murdering Yehuda, causing the death of a cousin, abandoning them and other offenses. Together with the indictment, the State Prosecutor's Office filed a request to detain him until the end of the proceedings.
