In Eilat, the first alarm sounded Tuesday morning since the outbreak of the "Iron Swords" war, after a hostile aircraft entered Israeli territory in the direction of the city, which caught the residents and evacuees in the city unprepared and untrained.

Due to the short distance time to reach the protected areas (30 seconds), most residents had to go out to the stairwells or stop their vehicle on the side of the road on the road. In the city's industrial zone and in several remote neighborhoods, no alarm sounded at all.

On the southern beaches, an alarm sounded, but in the absence of a protected area, bathers were forced to prostrate themselves on the sand.

In some of the city's educational institutions, panic began among the students, and many parents left work and went to schools to pick up their children.

Due to the alarm, the Eilat Municipality is holding a preparedness and update meeting attended by representatives from the Home Front Command and various government ministries.

Just last week, Hamas fired a rocket at Eilat from the Gaza Strip, but it fell in an open area, causing no damage or casualties.
