The Religious Zionist Party announced changes in the roles of its members in the various Knesset committees, in the framework of which MK Zvi Sukkot will head the subcommittee of the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee for Judea and Samaria affairs. The appointment sparked reactions from protest movements and on the left. The changes were made following the resignation of MK Waldiger from her position as Deputy Minister of Finance, and the appointment of MK Solomon as Deputy Speaker of the Knesset last week.

The Labor Party chairman attacked the appointment: "Whoever needs more proof of why we must not wait and must replace Netanyahu now - Netanyahu made the decision to appoint Zvi Sukkot as chairman of the subcommittee of the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee for Judea and Samaria affairs. "Netanyahu continues to endanger Israel's security," the Brothers in Arms movement said. "The Israeli government and its leader continue to present a policy of zero leadership responsibility in wartime. While our soldiers are fighting on the front lines and risking their lives, the Netanyahu-Ben-Gvir duo prefers to harm state security and drag Israel into another front in Judea and Samaria."
Peace Now also responded to the appointment, saying, "The appointment of Hawwara Pyroman to such a senior and classified security position is a step that harms national security and sticks a finger in the eye to our American partners. The national irresponsibility of a dangerous messianic government that is doing everything possible to open a third front in the West Bank that will claim more unnecessary victims. Gantz and Eisenkot must demand the immediate cancellation of the appointment."
