Since that bloody Black Saturday of 07 October 10, my friends and I have been recruited under Order 23, serving in the Gaza envelope and waiting for orders to continue.
We move from mission to mission, before our eyes harsh scenes were revealed as evidence of the Holocaust experienced by the dear residents and the heroism of the civilians and fighters that accompanied it. Alongside the operational activity, as a journalist and as someone addicted to news and current events, I often find myself keeping abreast of what is being said in the political field and in the media, watching articles, reading commentaries and receiving reports that can easily be identified as originating from briefings by politicians and senior officers, and I want to say: Friends, you have exaggerated!
Among the people who send us spiritual and material love, the residents of the envelope who come to collect belongings left behind and the fighters on the ground, a tremendous spirit beats that conveys unity and a desire to destroy the enemy.
No one in my battalion is interested in the political position of one resident or another, and the generous donors from all over the country and the world do not check the political affiliation of the fighters. There is only one request from those coming from the home front and the envelope – that we win the war, or as the sister of one of the CSOs who fell in battle told us through tears: "KILL ALL THE MOTHERF*KERS." The gap between all of these and some politicians and the media is incomprehensible and even outrageous.

Leaks about tensions between Netanyahu and Galant, briefings that even though Gantz entered the government he did not dare turn his back on its leader, reports that Military Intelligence had anticipated the war and it was Netanyahu who turned a blind eye and immediately ran to deny, blame back and then delete and apologize.
The media cooperate and deal with the political slime as if we are in election season, and for dessert give a platform to Hamas' psychological terror regarding the abductees. My company serves opinionated people with significant positions in citizenship for whom the state is very important, there is no political homogeneity.
Since the outbreak of the war (which someone will find a catchier name than "Iron Swords"), there have been almost no arguments, no exchanges of accusations and dealing with anything that does not advance us towards the ultimate goal - victory.

So politicians, current and retired generals and friendly media people, if instead of talking about the spirit of battle, unity and heroism that are revealed in the people, and instead of discussing ways to win the war, you intend to continue sowing division and exchange of accusations between us - you do not deserve this wonderful people and the heroic fighters who are sent on the battlefield in its name. If, while IDF soldiers are fighting and risking their lives, civilians are burying their loved ones, and an entire country is licking the wounds of trauma and bereavement, you intend to continue to engage in cheap gossip and fail to rise to the magnitude of the historic hour, let me quote a kind old man sitting somewhere in the White House in Washington.
