From 11 November, the hot phase begins for the foolish clubs in the district. The Narrhalla in Oberschleissheim is even celebrating a schnapps number anniversary.
County – The members of the Narrhalla in Oberschleissheim could not have started the carnival season better prepared. The entire past weekend the adult dancers have been preparing for the upcoming performances at an intensive training in the school hostel in Siegsdorf. "We've been doing this for years. This once again trains group cohesion," says President Albino Mazza.
Currently, 261 carnival enthusiasts are members of the Narrhalla Oberschleißheim
Currently, 261 carnival enthusiasts are members of the Narrhalla, of which around 90 are active dancers. "That's quite a number," says Mazza. "Fortunately, Corona has cost us few members, on the contrary, we have grown." You can tell that people want to go out again, have fun, celebrate, take their minds off things.
Around 90 performances
"The problem at the moment is that the organizers are still reluctant." Bookings are still far from being at pre-Corona levels, according to Mazza, who visits retirement homes, parishes and friendly associations with the Guards, among other things. "At its peak, we had around 90 performances at Carnival, last year there were only 50."
Upswing at the Kirnarra Kirchheim
In Kirchheim near the Kirnarra, the situation is different. "We already had more appearances last year than before the pandemic," says President Kathrin Schmied happily. At companies, supermarkets, fire brigades, schools and kindergartens, the 55 active dancers show what they have rehearsed and practiced over the last few months. "Preparations will begin as early as March."
Regular training
Once a week, the various guard groups train at the Kirchheim primary school. "The rush of children is always great. We also have three trial sessions there," says Schmied. But the adult group can also be seen with a proud number of over 30 dancers. "There haven't been so many for a long time – and there are also some men among them."
Proclamation at the Räter Shopping Centre (REZ) in Heimstetten
From 10 a.m. to 14 p.m. on November 11, the proclamation of the children's and adult prince couple will take place at the Räter Shopping Center (REZ) in Heimstetten. "We didn't have any problems finding one this year." This was also the case with Narrhalla. "We already have candidates for the next two years," says Albino Mazza. "It's really great when you consider that some clubs haven't found a pair yet in September." Who will represent the Narrhalla this season will be announced on Friday, November 24 from 20 p.m. in the Bürgerhaus Oberschleißheim.

Narrhalla Oberschleißheim celebrates its 33rd anniversary
It is a very special season for the Oberschleissheim Carnival Association. "We're celebrating our 33rd anniversary," says Mazza. "A schnapps number anniversary is even more important at carnival than a normal one." For the enthronement on Friday, 5 January, even the partner association from Switzerland will come, a Guggenmusik, which will provide a good atmosphere. The sponsors, the Schleißheimer Schlosspfeifer, will also be on site. On the same day, the Kirnarra also celebrates. The approximately 300 members and all carnival enthusiasts are invited to the festive carnival kick-off in the Feststadl Aschheim from 19 p.m. onwards.
Anticipation at Carnival Society Gleisenia Unterhaching
At the carnival society Gleisenia from Unterhaching, it really starts on Friday, November 17th. From 20 p.m. the party will take place in the Hachinga Hall. "On 11 November, the prince and princess will be announced during a visit to the town hall, but the enthronement will not take place until about a week later," says Marina Ehrenbauer, who was herself a princess at Gleisenia in 11. She is particularly pleased about the four new members of the Adult Guard.
The carnival is strongly influenced by women
"Overall, the carnival is rather female-dominated, but this year we have also been able to attract new men as members." The interest in the carnival is generally very high again. "The whole thing is picking up speed again, which makes us very happy," says Ehrenbauer, whose club also performs at Stachus, among other places. Ehrenbauer has not yet revealed the colours of the costumes conjured up by "house and court dressmaker" Melanie Baumgartner. "But it's all under the motto: Gleisenia rocks!"
