The woman testifies that the gunfire heard in the air was not directed at the refugee civilians as they left. "We kept walking, raising our hands with our ID cards. They (the soldiers) fired, but not in our direction," she said.

"We came from the north, everyone left Shati and went to the south. We were at the Abu 'Asi school and then walked towards Bis in Burj Shifa until we left. They (the army) dropped leaflets, told us to leave, and we left."
