The year 2023, with no words left in the lexicon to describe the depths of sadness and destruction that have befallen the State of Israel, has come to an end. In its place, tonight will enter at midnight in 2024, when, despite the expected continuation of the fighting in Gaza and in the north, we all hope that it will bring with it better news, comfort and calm, and embark on a new and optimistic path.
Despite the great sadness in our regions, many in Israel also came out to celebrate and mark the New Year. In Australia, the new year has already been celebrated thanks to time differences, and in many places around the world, preparations are at their peak. Here's what it looks like.
