These include raising taxes, income tax on rent, freezing child credit points, freezing the public transportation reform, tax on orders from shopping sites abroad, the "Netflix tax," and canceling benefits for those who complete an academic degree. These decrees were planned without the knowledge of Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich.

The budget law will be submitted to the Knesset by January 20, 2024, and the across-the-board cut set out in the law if the procedure set out in it is not completed, will apply on February 19. If the budget does not pass, it does not mean going to elections; it does not mean a very significant across-the-board cut in government ministries.
