- A parcel bomb destined for the Interior Ministry was intercepted in the mail sorting office in Via Ostiense, Rome, and defused by the police bomb squad. The find, of which the site of 'Leggo' writes, dates back to the end of October. According to the investigators, the package could explode: inside there was a primer with batteries connected to a container with gunpowder. Investigations are underway, but an anarchist-insurrectionist matrix would be excluded from the first investigations.
The package was addressed generically to the 'Ministry of the Interior', without a recipient being indicated. To intercept it was one of the employees of the Post Office, suspicious of what he had seen when the package was examined by x-ray. From the post office they immediately called the bomb technicians, who analyzed the package and defused the device. The investigations carried out by the Digos and the anti-terrorism, coordinated by the Rome prosecutor's office, are still in progress but at the moment a series of elements have already emerged that would exclude the involvement of anarcho-insurrectionist cells.
